Car crashes into a Port St. Lucie home

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- A man crashed his car into a home in Port St. Lucie on early Saturday.

Port St. Lucie police say 43-year-old Martin Rodriquez was traveling south on SW Alminar Street approaching SW Santana Avenue at 12:23 a.m.

As he entered the intersection, he failed to negotiate the turn, drove off the roadway, and crashed into the house at 2498 SW Santana Avenue.

The occupant of the home was uninjured.

Rodriquez was taken to a local hospital for observation.

Police are continuing their investigation into this crash.
