Port St. Lucie Police say Thursday afternoon a 4-year-old girl was taken to Traditional Medical Center and then she was pronounced dead from drowning.
A 911 call Thursday afternoon came in around 12:40 p.m. When St. Lucie County Fire/Rescue arrived at the home on SW Harem circle they say they found the girl in the bathtub.
Police say the mom left to run an errand and left her 16-year-old daughter in charge of the girl. The teen was doing chores and came back and found the toddler face down in the master bathroom bathtub. The sibling called 911 and administered CPR.
Inside the home during the incident was also two male siblings ages 7 and 14.
The police are actively investigating.
