A pedestrian was struck and killed last night in St. Lucie County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Edward Singh, 45, of Ocala was trying to cross State Road 70 near VPI Grove Road when a Dodge Avenger struck him, FHP said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Debra Lynn Slater, 43, of Titusville was not hurt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
