(CNN NEWSOURCE) Details continue to emerge in the Orlando mass shooter's plan to attack the Pulse nightclub.
Investigators say Omar Mateen was at the club the night of the shooting, but left and came back. Mateen left his Fort Pierce home the Saturday before the shooting and headed for Orlando.
He went to the club, paid the entry fee, and went inside. At some point though, he left. He would return two hours later to carry out his plan.
His deadly attack left 49 dead and dozens more wounded.
Officials are still working out what Mateen did in the two hours he was not at the club.
Investigators do not know why he would've made travel plans.
His wife told officials he left the house that Saturday angry-- and with a bag of guns. His wife, Noor Salman, has retained an attorney since she was initially questioned.
