Pedestrian fatally struck by train overnight in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, Fla. -- A 34-year-old man was fatally struck by a train overnight in Fort Pierce.

Fort Pierce police responded to the FEC railroad tracks near the intersection of Orange Avenue and Depot Drive at 2:19 a.m. Sunday to find a pedestrian walked into the path of an oncoming train.

Police identify the victim as Clayton Humphries of Port St. Lucie. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
