Man in critical condition after Fort Pierce shooting

A man is in critical condition after being shot in Fort Pierce late Sunday night, according to police.

It happened near Avenue I and North 27th Street just before 11:15 p.m., police said.

Investigators have not released many details, but are looking for help from the public. Anyone with information is urged to call Detective Michael Massie at 772-467-6856, on her cellphone at 772-579-8089 or after hours at 772-467-6800.

The victim was last listed in critical condition.

Just four hours earlier police said a person was shotin the 2100 block of Okeechobee Rd., and drove to the hospital.

That person's injuries are not life-threatening.
