Local missionaries are mobilizing to send relief to Haiti.
The country was devastated by Hurricane Matthew. The death toll is climbing towards 900 people.
NewsChannel 5 first spoke to Missionary Flights International on Monday, when they first asked for donations to ship to the Caribbean country.
On Monday, they finally fly out there to deliver those supplies.
The organization says they have 7,000 pounds of relief supplies ready to ship to Haiti - supplies such as non-perishable items, medical supplies, shovels, anything that could help the people down there.
Joe Karabensh, President of Missionary Flights International, says, "It's like a war zone and we have connections there with missions to be able to find all the supplies for the people so we're working there to do that."
The organization has been assisting in disaster relief in Haiti since the catastrophic 2010 earthquake.
