House fire displaces 2 adults, 5 children in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, Fla. -- Firefighters with the St. Lucie County Fire District extinguished a residential structure fire Sunday morning in Fort Pierce.

Crews responded at 7:25 a.m. to the 2700 block of Mohawk Avenue.

The fire started in the utility room.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

The American Red Cross is assisting the affected family, which includes 2 adults and 5 children.
