Fort Pierce's city manager has asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to review a formal complaint against the city’s police chief by a local resident.

This is part of an ongoing dispute between business owner Rick Reed and the Chief Diane Hobley-Burney.

Reed, a local restaurant owner, claims three women harassed him after a city council meeting in September and that Hobley-Burney told them to do it.

The chief says the allegations are not true.

WPTV has reached out to the FDLE for a response but that have not commented.
