UPDATE: The boil water notice issued for Hutchinson Island from Anacostia Place (Anacostia Subdivision) south to the Martin County line has been rescinded, according to the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority. It says all samples have cleared the lab.
EARLIER:
There’s a boil water notice for some Fort Pierce Utilities Authority customers.
It’s in effect in the area of Hutchinson Island from Anacostia Place south to the Martin County line.
As a precaution, the utility is asking customers in the affected area to boil all water for drinking and cooking until Tuesday November 22 at 8 a.m.
The boil water notice was ordered after a truck damaged a water main.
