2 injured in Fort Pierce shooting early Sunday

FORT PIERCE, Fla. -- Two people were injured in a double shooting early Sunday morning outside a restaurant in Fort Pierce.

Fort Pierce police say a 27-year-old woman was shot in the arm and a 23-year old man was shot in the back and arm around 2 a.m. Sunday at the restaurant on 25th Street in Fort Pierce.

Both victims are said to have non life threatening injuries.

Detectives are working to determine the motivation for the shooting and to learn the identity of the suspect(s).

Detectives are looking for two men seen in a surveillance video who may be connected to the shooting. At this point, police say the men are considered persons of interests and are not suspects.

The restaurant is a Chinese take-out establishment in the 400 block of N. 25th Street.

Police found several bullet casings at the scene of the shooting.
