Hurricane Matthew left behind millions in damage in St. Lucie County, according to TC Palm.

The Category 3 storm will cost about 9.3 million dollars, with most of the money going towards debris removal.

The county is expecting FEMA to reimburse it for 5.3 million already spent over time and activation of the Emergency Operation Center.

Meanwhile, crews will continue assessing damage from Matthew in Palm Beach County, where state's emergency response team and FEMA will be throughout the weekend.

Team members will have either the FEMA or SERT logos on their clothing. Crews will also have their government-issued badges to identify themselves when asked.
