Five people were displaced after a house fire late Thursday night near Port St. Lucie.
The St. Lucie County Fire District said crews were called at 11:51 p.m. to a fire in the 3700 block of Doral Ct.
The district said crews were busy throughout the night fighting the fire.
Firefighters rescued a dog and cat from the burning home.
The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist three men and two women displaced by the blaze.
