ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol said a 30-year-old Port St. Lucie man died Monday night after a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. 1

Investigators said a 2017 Toyota Camry, driven by 88-year-old Robert P. Davis of Port St. Lucie, was traveling northbound on US 1 in the left turn lane for Brazilian Circle at 7:19 p.m.

A 2000 Honda Civic, driven by Logan B. Daily, Port St. Lucie, 30, was traveling southbound on US 1 in the outside lane approaching Brazilian Circle.

Davis attempted to make a left turn across the southbound lanes of US 1 and onto Brazilian Circle.

FHP said a collision occurred between the front of the Camry and the left side of the Civic.

The Civic overturned and came to final rest upside down.

Davis and Daily were transported to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, but Daily was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital. Davis sustained serious injuries.

This case is still pending investigation.
