Two dogs died of smoke inhalation from a house fire in St. Lucie County Wednesday morning, according to the fire district.
It said the fire happened just after 8 a.m. at a home in the 400 block of Ravenswood Ln.
Firefighters said although the flames were contained to the kitchen there was extensive smoke damage.
Two adults and a child were displaced, the St. Lucie County Fire District said.
Investigators have not yet released a cause.
