A Port St. Lucie man has died after a three-vehicle crash in St. Lucie County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A Kia traveling north on US-1 Tuesday morning attempted to turn on Rio Mar Drive and drove into the path of an Olds heading south, FHP said. The Olds, driven by Dennis Wayne Kay, 67, of Port St. Lucie, hit the Kia and was also struck by Buick that was traveling behind Kay's car.
Kay was transported to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center where he died. The driver of the Kia was also injured and taken to the hospital in serious condition. The motorist in the Buick was not hurt.
The cause of this crash remains under investigation, FHP said.
