Reflections of Hope was the mission of the Jewish Family Services' 7th annual luncheon Wednesday.
Storm Team 5 Meteorologist Glenn Glazer was the emcee of the event at Boca West Country Club.
Jeannette Walls was the keynote speaker. She's known for her best-selling memoir "The Glass Castle," which was also brought to the big screen.
"Because there's a lot of people out there who are going through the same thing that you are. And if you can share your story, the details might be different. And people say, 'Oh my Gosh, I went through something similar.' And it takes you out of your isolation," Walls said.
Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the Jewish Family Services'counseling and mental health
