One man died when his vehicle crashed into a tree Wednesday morning in southern Palm Beach County, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
The collision happened around 6:46 a.m. near Jog Road and Atlantic Avenue.
Rescue crews found one person deceased inside the car.
Investigators say the driver was northbound on Jog when he veered across the median 700 feet north of Atlantic Avenue and struck the tree.
The Sheriff's Office identified the motorist as Alan M. Slatkin, 71, of Delray Beach.
