A new elementary school will be built in Boca Raton, according to the Palm Beach County School District.
It said Florida Department of Education Commissioner Pam Stewart approved the campus which will be built near Don Estridge High Tech Middle School.
The district said the school, currently referred to as O5C, will help relieve overcrowding in the city's elementary schools.
"Christmas has come early," School Board Chair Frank Barbieri said in a news release.
A timeline for construction has not yet been released.
