A pair of trailers were vandalized Monday with hateful language in a Palm Beach County community.

The Sheriff's Office told WPTV it's investigating this as a hate crime.

Neighbors in Ponte Vecchio in suburban Boynton Beach said someone spray painted the word “Nazi” all over two trailers overnight.

The graphic word was written in black on the front, back, and sides of the vehicles.

The trailers belong to a painting company, RCI Painting, which has been working on homes in the community for the last several weeks.

"I couldn't come up with any words," said Marcel Rosen, the owner of RCI Painting. He told WPTV he's Jewish and started the company 31 years ago.

Rosen said he has no idea who targeted his vehicles.

"My parents escaped Europe from the Nazi regime, went to Israel where I was born. So for a person to write Nazi all over my trailers, I think they may be a little sick in the head," Rosen said.

Neighbors told WPTV they are disturbed by the vandalism.

CORRECTION: WPTV's originally published article referenced the community involved as Ponte Vecchio West, which is not correct. The actual area involved is Ponte Vecchio, not Ponte Vecchio West.
