The Palm Beach County bomb squad removed a grenade from a Boynton Beach home this morning.

A Boynton Beach Police spokesman  say relatives were cleaning out the home of a deceased relative and found a grenade in the garage. They called 911 to remove  it.

The incident was on 702 SW Lake Court in Leisureville

Police shut down several streets surrounding Lake Court within the community.

Our reporter on scene saw a bomb technician walking away from the house with a box, presumed to be holding the grenade in question.

Neighbors in Leisureville say it's reassuring to see such a strong response.

The sheriff's office will dispose of the grenade.
