Firefighters in Palm Beach County got a rare hands-on chance to fine tune their skills Tuesday.
Quail Ridge Country Club in suburban Boynton Beach is building a new clubhouse.
Before they tear down the old one they turned it over to the fire department.
Members watched as firefighters cut holes for ventilation and simulated rescue scenarios.
“They went in and blacked out the windows inside so they went in during dark situations and had to find a person in the building, so they’ve really had a real-life opportunity,” said Bill Langley with Quail Ridge Country Club.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue planned on filming the training so they can share tips and techniques with other firefighters.
