A U.S. Post Office in suburban Delray Beach was evacuated  for a time after a suspicious package was discovered Friday morning.

At 9:44 a.m., deputies responded to the post office located at West Atlantic Avenue and State Road 7.

A PBSO bomb and arson unit and the postal inspector were sent to the scene to investigate.

Westbound West Atlantic Avenue and the 14000 block of eastbound State Road 7 were closed to traffic during the investigation.

The PBSO Bomb & Arson squad have since cleared the package, according to the sheriff's office which says the post office is back to business as usual.
