It was more than just a pick-up basketball game at the Pompey Recreation Center in Delray Beach.

"Community come together as one," says Sonia Edwards.

She is already seeing a difference.

"This is like a positive thing to come and watch a basketball game."

Daniel Studdard is the man behind the difference, who has seen some problems.

"It's bad man"

It's been a tough year for him, especially with the loss of three men.

Greg Bryant Jr. the former American Heritage football star was shot and killed on I-95.

Jarvis Collins was shot and killed in Delray Beach. Corey Jones was shot and killed by a former Palm Beach Gardens police officer.

"It's got to the point where I'm just like tired of it and I kind of want to do something about it so anything to bring everyone together," says Studdard.

That's why the basketball game is more than just a game. It was a Delray vs Boynton game bringing together not only both communities, but both law enforcement agencies as well.

"An incident happens nationwide or locally we're going to have to have our community to back us."

Studdard knows sports and strong connections with police can reverse the trend and unite everyone.

"I just believe in peace."
