DELRAY BEACH, Fla.-- Families brought chairs and blankets to Delray Beach for a good cause Sunday
A "Picnic in the Park" fundraiser took place at Old School Square.
The event helps feed homeless students in Delray Beach.
Groups who took part in the event were encouraged to choose an international theme, create a cuisine that matches the theme, bring decorations, picnic baskets and even musical instruments to accent the fun environment.
"Working together to help feed homeless children. And who doesn't want to feed a homeless child? So, we actually have businesses, we have community organizations, we have other nonprofits with us. We even have some families that are going through homelessness right now that are among us that you wouldn't even know were here," said Maura Plante with Living Hungry
