UPDATE: According to Delray Beach Police Department, the man who stole a cash register and two cash drawers from Walgreens stores was arrested Friday after stealing a empty cash drawer at another Walgreens location.

Officials caught up with 43-year-old Alexandro Pedron with the help of store employees at 430 N.E. 6th Ave. who called police at 5:42 p.m. Friday to say someone had stolen an empty cash register.

Surveillance video showed Pedron riding away on a bicycle. Officers found the suspect riding a bicycle on South Federal Highway.

Pedron was arrested and charged with three counts of grand theft and one count of petit theft.

EARLIER STORY:

The camera never blinks and Delray Beach police hope to use that to their advantage.

They say surveillance cameras have captured the same man on three occasions leaving a Walgreens store with either a cash register or cash drawers.

Police say his methods are the same: He walks into the store, waits until no one is around and then targets the cash register near the cosmetics department.

The thefts happened in April and May at the Walgreens at 10 South Congress Avenue and the Walgreens at 4999 West Atlantic Avenue.

Police describe the suspect as a balding man apparently in his 40s with short dark hair.

If you recognize him please call Det. Chris Trapasso at (561) 243-7868 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at (800) 458-TIPS (8477).
