DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — A 31-year-old youth basketball coach who had been missing since last weekend has been found dead in Delray Beach, police said.
The body of Makuach Yak was discovered Friday evening in the Delray Oaks Natural Area, west of Congress Avenue and south of Linton Boulevard, Delray Beach police said in a Facebook message.
His body was found 2.5 miles south of the 300 block of Southwest 10th Avenue, where he was last seen May 20.
Yak disappeared while going for a run last weekend.
Police said the death did not appear to be criminal, but the medical examiner will determine the cause.
Family and friends had been searching for him throughout the week.
The 25-acre Delray Oaks Natural Area is open to the public for environmental education and passive recreational activities such as hiking, nature photography and bird watching.
