King tide hits coastal areas at its peak

The King tide was at its peak Sunday night with a full moon, and it's having a large impact on coastal areas across Palm Beach County.

Delray Beach homeowners along the Intracoastal Waterway may be affected the most.

Marine Way has been getting hit hard the past few days with some of the street beginning to erode.

Residents spent their day prepping for the flooding, placing sandbags at their front doors. Residents say water has even begun to come into their living room.

Debris has also washed into their yards.

They're hoping city leaders take action to prevent this from happening.

"You walk down the street, you will see the street is totally eroding in some areas. Several of the docks lost a lot of their planks, just floating away, so something has to be done," says Iris Frohman.

The city of Delray Beach is holding a King Tide Awareness meeting Monday at 6 p.m.
