Police in Delray Beach are passing out fliers encouraging people to lock their car doors.
The effort comes after the city recorded108 car break-ins last month. 79 happened in unlocked cars.
Delray Beach Police Officer Roxanne Robertson said she takes it personally when a break-in happens in the area she patrols. "It's frustrating because now we have victims. We don't want to have victims of any type of crime."
Delray police are sharing the motto "lock your doors to keep what's yours."
Police say burglars are hitting neighborhoods across the city.
