DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — A group of Delray Beach police officers went above and beyond for children in the community.

A man named Emanuel Dupree Jackson, Jr. posted a video on Facebook over the weekend, showing those officers putting together a new basketball hoop in a parking lot off SW 1st Street on Saturday.

Jackson said Officers McCabe, Leon, and Butner noticed a group of children playing on a broken hoop and decided to do something about it.

They collected money from everyone on their shift and bought a brand new hoop for the children.

"Good kids out here playing on a not very good basketball hoop," one of the officers said in the video. "So we figured we'd upgrade for them."

Great work officers!
