Delray Beach police are stepping up patrols after three suspicious fires along the beach Monday night.
The fires involved a pavilion, Tiki hut and gazebo, according to Delray Fire Rescue, which says they appear to be related.
The Division of State Fire Marshal is assisting in the investigation.
“A lot of times that’s what helps us know whether it was truly a case of arson, or if it was indeed some sort of coincidental accident,” said Delray Beach Fire Rescue Captain Kevin Saxton.
At Atlantic Dunes Park fire destroyed a pavilion and part of the boardwalk.
No injuries have been reported.
The State Fire Marshal is urging anyone who believes they may hold information regarding these fires to please reach out to its Consumer Hotline by calling 1-877-662-7766.
