SUBURBAN DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol says one person has died from injuries following a rollover crash on the Florida Turnpike Sunday afternoon.
Investigators said a Toyota 4runner was heading north on the northbound entrance ramp at Atlantic Avenue and veered off the road.
As the vehicle began to overturn passengers inside were ejected, FHP said.
Four patients were transported to a local area trauma hospital and the other three patients were taken to local hospitals.
Troopers says 15-year-old Jose Luis Lara Alfonso of Texas died of his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
