A crane caught fire and collapsed at a construction site Tuesday morning, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
It happened near Hypoluxo and Lyons roads in suburban Boynton Beach.
Fire rescue crews said when they arrived they quickly brought the flames on the 165 foot crane under control.
A Moss construction spokesperson says a subcontractor was operating a mobile ground crane when a fire started in the engine compartment. The operator was not injured.
Moss Construction is launching its own investigation into what happened.
Crews are building the "Villages of Windsor" Senior Living Facility and construction at the site has resumed.
