BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — A South Florida man whose bionic arm was stolen in Boynton Beach last year will compete on NBC's new hit show, The Titan Games.

27-year-old Chris Ruden, a motivational speaker from Coconut Creek, will be featured on this week's episode on Thursday, Jan. 24.

Ruden was born with a congenital birth defect that left him with a short arm and only two fingers on one hand.

According to his bio, Ruden was bullied and embarrassed growing up, but used power lifting and fitness as an outlet to become the elite athlete he is today.

He regularly motivates young people who have disabilities.

Back in October, Boynton Beach police said someone stole Ruden's prosthetic arm from his truck while he was at his girlfriend's home on Stonehaven Drive.

After about 30 minutes, officers found the limb in some bushes.

The Titan Games, hosted by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, airs every Thursday night at 8 p.m. on WPTV.
