Church congregations across the state hosted events to try and boost African-American voter turnout.

"Souls to the Polls" events celebrated the final day of early voting by encouraging thousands of voters to vote with their congregations and their community.

Pastor Javon Davis, who led the march, said, "We recognize that we are stronger together and as a result of us coming together for this momentous occasion, we hope that we can impact not only here but also in Washington D.C."

Each event had live entertainment, family fun and speakers to support the community spirit and sense of pride that comes with voting.
