BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — Boynton Beach police are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle that left a man critically injured.
The crash happened Tuesday shortly before 6 p.m. along the northbound lanes of Congress Avenue.
Police say the driver of a 2016 Mazda CX5, identified as 88-year-old Herbert Gilbert of Boynton Beach, was traveling north on Congress Avenue and made a left turn to go into the Bank of America parking lot when it collided with a 2007 Triumph motorcycle traveling south.
The motorcyclist, identified as 32-year-old Paul Fambrough of Boynton Beach, was transported via Trauma Alert to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The driver of the Mazda was not injured.
