A man is dead after being struck by a FEC train in Boynton Beach Saturday morning, according to the Boynton Beach Police Department.
The incident happened shortly before 7 a.m. behind CK's Lockshop, which is in the 300 block of Southeast Fourth Street.
Officials say a woman called 911 at 6:47 a.m. to report that she heard a noise and thought it was the train derailed.
FEC investigators, along with Boynton Beach Police, are on the scene.
It's unknown at this time why the man was on the train tracks at the time he was struck, police said.
The 9,500 foot train has blocked crossings from Boynton Beach Boulevard south to Southeast 12th Avenue.
