BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.-- A man accused of killing a woman in Boynton Beach had a past record of domestic violence.

Boynton Beach Police say 56-year-old Jeffery Garner killed the woman Wednesday morning inside the Manatee Bay Apartment complex. Moments later police shot and killed Garner when they arrived on scene and police say he would not put his gun down.

Police are still investigating the death of the woman, but they did say she and Garner had a relationship. Court records show Garner also pleaded guilty to domestic assault in Missouri in 2007.
