A woman whom investigators say was attacked by an A/C repairman convinced him to pray with her and that possibly saved her life, according to court documents.
The victim told detectives Dario Dotto tied her children with tape and then attacked her with a wrench.
She stabbed him with a kitchen knife and locked her family in a bathroom.
A psychiatrist who was shown the report said he was impressed at how the woman handled the situation.
“She really went into survival mode focused and was thoughtful and methodical and that's how she got herself and her family through this alive,” said Dr. Raul Rodriguez with the Delray Center for Healing.
Doctors told the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office they expect the woman to live.
Dotto is in jail without bond and faces several charges including attempted murder.
