Santa came early to the pediatric wing at Bethesda Hospital East.
The Delray Beach Police Department showed up Monday afternoon with about two dozen bags full of toys.
It's part of the department's annual toy drive.
Officers and an assistant chief handed out toys to the patients.
"It was awesome, it was a great feeling that we were able to bring some smiles to the patients," Detective Adrian Rackauskas explains.
Organizer say they collected more toys than ever this year.
"Yesterday I went to do a pick up at one of the fire stations and residents came by as I was leaving just to drop off more toys. It's really heartwarming that all these people are donating," Rackauskas says.
Officers spent Saturday delivering toys to the homes of families in need.
