BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- Women, many of them from the Haitian community, received mammograms and pap smears to test for breast and cervical cancer on Saturday at Intracoastal Park in Boynton Beach, to help prevent death from late stage diagnosis of these diseases.
The event also included a walk to raise funds for the Marie Louise Cancer Foundation.
The event was made possible thanks to the partnership between the Promise Fund of Florida and the Marie Louise Cancer Foundation.
