Cyclists took to the streets of Boynton Beach Sunday morning to feed more than 200 families this Thanksgiving.

Bikers took part in the "Cranksgiving” bike ride, pedaling 14 miles and stopped at four grocery stores to restock the Boynton Beach food pantry.

The goal was to prepare 250 Thanksgiving food baskets for families in need.

Participants agreed to spend a minimum of $5 at each store to help stock the food pantry.

“One of the things that's really rewarding about what we do is to see the excitement and the joy that we bring when we're able to provide a complete Thanksgiving dinner to families that maybe wouldn't have anything at all for Thanksgiving,” said Doreen Robinson of the Community Caring Center of Greater Boynton Beach.

The meals will be distributed the week of Thanksgiving.
