Some Vietnam veterans in Boynton Beach are getting a long overdue recognition.
In a ceremony Wednesday U.S. Representative Lois Frankel thanked them for their service.
Frankel admitted she protested the Vietnam War.
Now she says it’s important to honor the Americans who served during the war. “They don’t choose the war they want to go to, they go to stand up for our values, for our freedoms. For that we are very grateful.”
Frankel says the majority of Florida’s veterans are from the Vietnam era.
