A police officer's job is not just about arresting people or solving crimes. It's also about saving lives.
That's exactly why two Boynton Beach officers are being honored.
The pair is being credited for saving the life of a suicidal man who was attempting to jump from a balcony in late September.
Police body camera video recorded officers David Roberts and Janelle Jumelles begging the man to not let go.
After several minutes, the officers were able to get the man down from the railing and in a safe place.
For their efforts the Kiwanis Club of Boynton Beach honored the pair as "Officers of the Month."
