Boynton Beach police said a bicyclist was struck by a car Wednesday afternoon, sending the victim to the hospital.
The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the corner of North Congress Avenue and Gateway Boulevard.
At 2 p.m., police said the southbound lanes of North Congress Avenue from the 1700 block to Gateway Blvd. were shut down for about an while police investigated.
The bicyclist was taken to Delray Medical Center with traumatic injuries.
