Boynton Beach police have announced an arrest in the shooting death of a man on Sep. 4.
Police arrested Kelcey Torrance Riddick, 40, of Boynton Beach Monday and charged him with first-degree murder with a firearm.
The shooting happened two weeks ago at the MLK Qwick Stop, in the 100 block of NE 10th Ave. around 10:30 p.m.
According to a police report, Riddick shot Derrick Barber of Delray Beach.
Police said Riddick's twin, Kunta Riddick was feuding with Barber before Riddick got involved.
MLK Qwick Stop had multiple security cameras that captured the shooting, police said.
Riddick surrendered at police headquarters Monday afternoon. He is being held without bond at the Palm Beach County Jail.
Family members of the victim, Derrick Barber, were in court Tuesday. "He was a loving father and everybody loved him," Charkala Harmon said. "He wasn’t perfect, but he wasn’t bad and I just hope our family gets the justice that we are looking for."
Barber leaves behind seven children.
