BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — Boynton Beach police said a 70-year-old man was killed Sunday morning in a two-vehicle collision.

The crash happened in the 500 block of West Woolbright Rd. around 7: 45 a.m.

Police said a maroon Hyundai Sonata, driven by Shaquavia Whiting, 33, of Lantana, was traveling south on the I-95 southbound exit ramp toward West Woolbright Road.

A white Nissan Altima, driven by Craig Brierley, 70, of Boynton Beach, was traveling east on West Woolbright Road toward I-95.

Investigators said Whiting failed to make the right turn onto West Woolbright Rd, and instead continued driving southbound over a median as Brierley’s car was heading east.

The Hyundai struck the driver’s side of the Altima. Brierley died at the scene, and Whiting was taken to Delray Medical Center where she remains in stable condition.

Boynton Beach police said they are still investigating the wreck. Anyone with information is asked to call Traffic Homicide Investigator Aramis Grigorian at 561-732-8116.
