BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- A Clearwater man died early Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on I-95 in Boynton Beach and two other people were seriously injured.

21-year-old Abimael Dedho-Baltazar of Clearwater was driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer southbound on I-95, north of Boynton Beach Boulevard at 5:09 a.m. in the outside center lane.

For reasons yet to be determined, the vehicle left the roadway to the right, traveled onto the grass embankment and became airborne.

The vehicle first collided with shrubs and continued to overturn several times.

While airborne, two passengers were ejected.

Both Dedho-Baltazar and a 23-year-old male passenger identified as Virrey Perez Neria of Lake Worth, were hospitalized at Delray Medical Center with serious injuries.

An unidentified second passenger who was ejected from the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Only the driver was wearing a seatbelt.
