SUBURBAN BOCA RATON, Fla. -- A woman was arrested following an armed road-rage incident where she held a knife to a man's throat in traffic, deputies say.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, a man called 911 on Saturday to report that a woman, later identified as 25-year-old Chelsea Morgan Klein, approached his car, screamed at him, spat on him and his vehicle, and put a pocket knife to his throat.

After the incident the man followed the vehicle while still on the phone with 911.

A PBSO deputy stopped the suspect's vehicle and during questioning, Klein stated that she had cut off the victim while driving in traffic on Glades Road and that she decided to exit her vehicle and apologize to the driver, but decided to arm herself with her pocket knife while apologizing.

She told the deputy that when she went up to the victim's vehicle, he called her bad names and grabbed her by her arm, so she pulled her knife on him. She stated that her boyfriend exited her vehicle and was able to yell at the victim and take her away from the victim's vehicle.

The victim told the deputy that Klein approached his driver's side door armed with a knife and screaming and pointing her finger at him.

He says when he saw her holding the knife he asked her what she was going to do with the knife and then she extended her hand into his vehicle while he sat behind the wheel and placed the knife against the front of his neck.

PBSO says the victim stated that he grabbed Klein's hand, stopping her from cutting him with the knife. He said Klein's boyfriend exited her vehicle and pulled her away from his car.

According to the victim, Klein spat on him, his car and the interior of his vehicle. According to the arrest report, the investigating deputy confirmed seeing fresh spit on the victim's sunglasses that he was wearing, the door panel of his vehicle and the inside console of his vehicle.

Chelsea Morgan Klein was charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Burglary of an Occupied Conveyance and Battery.
