A Brightline train collided with a vehicle Wednesday evening, according to Boca Raton police.
Police believe a vehicle was stopped for a red light on the tracks.
The gates went down and the elderly driver was unable to exit the vehicle before it was struck by the train, Boca Raton police tweeted.
It happened near Camino Real and Dixie Highway and the intersection is now open.
Police have not yet said if the driver was injured.
